A Gay Freaky Friday

Along with my friend Mountaine we wrote, directed and performed in the 2025 Asheville Fringe Arts Festival. We were given an award for Artists Who Pushed the Boundaries of Storytelling!

Mountaine and Vinny share life stories leading up to a Freaky Friday switch of bodies. Confusion of course ensues (with outfit changes!). The stories continue with Vinny as Mountaine and Mountaine as Vinny. But does Mountaine want to stay in the younger body of someone who is in his creative prime? Does Vinny want to stay in the body of an established wise elder who seems to have life figured out with seemingly smooth sailing?

Faerietale Theatre launched at The Be Be Theatre in Downtown Asheville to sold out audiences in September of 2024. A platform for LGBTQ+ performers, playwrights and stage engagers. Passionate about creating access and visibility for queer artists, and finding funding for those who give so much of themselves in edgy performing arts.
